Toasting SummerEXCLUSIVELY for Club REELZ Members With summer in full-swing, our Club REELZ resident chef and party planner has come up with the perfect outdoor activity to share with friends during the warm nights ahead. It is sure to bring back childhood memories of bonfires, marshmallows toasting on sticks and chocolate melting on warm graham-crackers. We bet you can smell it already. But what is this? It’s an Adult S’mores Bar and it doesn’t require a smoky campfire or sitting on a tree stump. An outdoor grill or hibachi will do. Even a cookie sheet on your kitchen stovetop will work and you and your guests will still be set for the sweet taste of this summertime treat. The secret is taking the standard s’mores recipe and adding several adult flavor enhancers and a dipping bar. Ingredients: Standard S’mores Marshmallows Graham Crackers Hershey Bars (or similar) Skewers of your choice (wood, metal, twigs, chopsticks) Flavor Enhancers Bittersweet chocolate chips Flavored chocolate bars (coffee, mint, sea salt, toffee) Crushed nuts like almonds or hazelnuts Sliced Bananas Ground Cinnamon Shredded Coconut Dipping Bar Hot Fudge, Strawberry Sauce, Salted Caramel Sauce Bourbon Praline Pecan Sauce Dulce de Leche Peanut Butter The fun begins once you and your guests have sandwiched a toasty melted marshmallow and some Hershey bar between two graham crackers. But just as it melts together and before you take a bite, head over to the Dipping Station where you try dipping in strawberry, salted caramel sauce or praline sauce (Yum) . You can even smear some peanut butter on top before you dip! Trust us, you’ll never go back to standard s’mores again! Now it’s time for variations. For the next round, substitute a flavored chocolate bar in place of the Hershey’s. Sea salt is SINFUL and very adult; mint chocolate is a must-try and don’t forget to make a coffee chocolate s’more, too. Lastly, put a graham cracker with just a marshmallow on top in a pan or directly on a grill. As the marshmallow melts, drop some chocolate chips on top so they melt in. Then lift your open-face s’more up with a spatula. Head directly to the dipping station with this yummy variation on your childhood s’more.
