About Mary Kay Letourneau: ‘Til Death
Mary Kay Letourneau was an elementary schoolteacher who pled guilty in 1997 to the rape of a child, 12 year-old Vili Fualaau, who’d been her sixth-grade student. Mary Kay was ultimately imprisoned from 1998 to 2004. Soon after her release, Letourneau and Fualaau were married in May 2005….But a lot happened between their wedding day and when Mary Kay lost her short battle with colon Cancer in July 2020. She and Vili had separated and they each began on-line dating. Vili was a DJ at night and worked at Home Depot during the day while Mary Kay was a legal secretary. Although the two were no longer together, they managed to successfully co-parent their 2 teenaged girls. Since her Cancer diagnosis in January, friends say that Mary Kay made amends with her estranged first husband Steve and her 4 children and that Vili never left her side. People Magazine’s Steve Helling, who has reported on the couple for 15 years, and Ann Bremner, Mary Kay’s best friend, give viewers personal insight into the lives of the notorious couple during Mary Kay’s last days on earth.
