He was once a normal, happy child, but violent, drunken abuse from his father sends John Wayne Gacy down a dark and sinister path. Running from home, he takes a job at a mortuary where he first develops a fascination with dead bodies, even sleeping in a coffin with a corpse. Soon after, he’s married with two kids, but urges inside him can’t be contained. Convicted for sodomizing young boys, his normal life ends and the darkness takes over. Gacy begins cruising for young men leading to his first of many murders and the beginning of his crawlspace burial ground. He brings them home, then tortures, and kills them with what he calls “tricks.” Restraining boys and strangling them with rope, he fills the crawlspace under his home with bodies. His wife and many others suspect he’s up to no good, but thanks to his public persona, Pogo the Clown, no one realizes the depths of his evil. Then, one victim, Jeffery Rignall, is raped, tortured, and released by the serial killer. Unable to get help from police, Rignall goes on the hunt, staking out freeways until he finally discovers the monster’s home. Gacy may finally be brought to justice.
